Quân La Mã dùng tình báo nhằm tiêu diệt Đạo sĩ để từ đó diệt thứ tiên dược đáng sợ kia. Đạo sĩ Getafix (trong phim này là Vitamix) do đó bị bắt. Obelix do muốn cứu đạo sĩ mà đã phóng một thạch tiễn (tên đá) trúng ngay ông, khiến Đạo sĩ trở thành điên loạn. Thêm vào đó, một thầy bói giả xuất hiện tiên đoán một trận chiến lớn sẽ xảy ra khiến dân làng lo sợ phải di tản khỏi làng. Quân La Mã nhờ đó mà "bất chiến tự nhiên thành".
